Step-by-step guide to register for 2024 JAMB UTME/DE. The Joint Admission and Matriculations Board has commenced the 2024/2025 Universal Tertiary Matriculation Examinations registration process for all interested candidates across the country.

The JAMB Registrar, Ishaq Oloyede, during a meeting with media executives in Lagos State on Sunday, said that measures have been put in place to ensure a smooth exercise for all interested candidates.
Oloyede disclosed that UTME candidates would register first before the Direct Entry candidates.
He added that the sale of DE application documents and E-PIN vending will begin on Wednesday, February 28 and close by Thursday, March 28, 2024. The registrar said, “It is available only at JAMB Offices.
2024 JAMB UTME form Requirements.
Candidates are advised to check their eligibility for chosen programmes and institutions on ibass.jamb.gov.ng. It is important that candidates check the requirements before commencing the application process. The eligibility checker assists candidates with options of programmes (courses) based on their qualifications

2024 JAMB UTME General Entry Requirements
The general entry requirements for admission into the First Degree, National Diploma (ND), National Innovation Diploma (NID) and Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) programmes are five (5) O’Level Credit passes, including English Language. In addition, credit in Mathematics is required for science-based and social science programmes.
Registration Requirements:
- Provide choice of institutions and programmes (course of study).
- Provide a valid and functional personal email address.
- Provide qualification with grades and dates; upload certificates if not awaiting results.
- Provide O/L and/or A/L grades; candidates awaiting results should upload them on JAMB’s portal once available.
- Institutions cannot request new photographs, biometrics, or results uploads.
- Provide UTME subjects and choice of examination town(s) for Mock and UTME.
- Review entries for correctness.
- Print Registration Slip using biometric authentication.
2024 JAMB Direct Entry (DE) form Requirements.
- JAMB only recognises and accepts twelve qualifications/certificates.
- Statement of result is accepted for registration only within three years of the date of award.
- Upgrade from UTME to DE is available only to candidates whose DE results have not been released at the point of UTME registration and those who indicated at the point of registration that he/she is awaiting A-level results.
- 8. The DE fee for the 2024/2025 session is tagged at N3,500. Other payments include N700 for the CBT Centre registration service charge, N1,500 for the CBT Centre service charge for mock/UTME and N500 for bank charges/commission.
- This amounts to N6,200 for candidates who are not sitting for the MOCK examination and N7,700 will be paid by those who would sit for the MOCK examination.

Retrieval of Profile Code and Self-Service (In Case of Mistake/Loss):
Profile Code Retrieval:
- To retrieve a lost Profile Code, send “RESEND” from the same mobile number to 55019 or 66019 as a text message.
- To reset a lost or forgotten Profile Password, send “PASSWORD” space, followed by the email address from the same mobile number, to 55019 or 66019.

- Registration only at accredited Computer-Based Test (CBT) Centres and Professional Registration Centres (PRC).
- Visit any accredited CBT centre (list available on JAMB’s website and JAMB offices) with profile code and e-PIN.
- Self-service facilities available in all JAMB State Offices for digitally skilled candidates.

How to Apply for the 2024 JAMB Form in Foreign Countries
Registration Fee:
- $30 in the local currency of each of the nine foreign countries.
Registration Process:
- Download application documents from JAMB’s website, complete and submit with the fee at designated centres in the country, as indicated on the website.
- Conduct of registration and UTME in Abidjan, Accra, Addis Ababa, Beau, Cotonou, Jeddah, Johannesburg, London, or Berlin.
- Contact the Nigerian Mission (Embassies) in each centre for guidance on registration and examination.
